well, when I called the guy he told me it was a 76 442. and he wanted 1700 for it, he sent pics, body was in good shape, no pics of the motor or interior (whatever.... its gota 442 in it damnit). I'm thinkin... AWESOME. so I drive the 40 minutes to check it out... as im pulling into town, I call the guy and he says he's at the gas station filling her up if I want to meet him there. so I swing by... as I pull up and get out of the car I notice he's got the hood up checking the oil.... as I draw closer (with the cash burning in my pocket) I notice its a v-6.... body was clean, but i didnt have a suitable motor ready to go in at the time. told him id take it for a spin to check it out... wasnt impressed with the 148hp that it had. said thanks, but no thanks. then ended up getting a call on the way home from a friend who had a 78 camaro LT that I used to ride in. told me he was wanting to get rid of it. I asked him how much, he said $500.00, I told him id come check it out....
rusted to pieces, motor ran fine, trans was on its way out the door, I told him I'd give him $250.00 for it....
shook hands and picked her up the next day.
