After many hours of research and refining my goals, I am happy to have a 'cammed' LS3. My project started trying to eliminate lifter noise from my L99 ( Factory known issue). Well, it is fixed now since i no longer have the AFM lifters
I decided to go with the JRE 445rwhp cam package and L99-LS3 Conversion. I was hoping to do the install myself but due to some family obligations i was then in search of an installer near MS, LA. Thanks to the forum, i met up with member g4dadon over at STRAIGHT PERFORMANCE RACING in Baton Rouge. I took the car to his place with a trunk full of goodies and i dont think i was a block away when he started to disassemble the engine. The install was done as efficiently as I have ever seen and well exceeded my expectations. The tuning was done via SCT tuner with Ted at JRE. It took some expected "tweaking" and Ted is great in customer support. The car runs great. I didnt need a new converter; driveability is good, and she is fast without blowing the tires off. The overall experience was very pleasurable and I am more than satisfied with the results.
The car runs fast as hell, but it dont need to. Anyone that pulls up beside it and hears it dont want to mess with it anyway.
