Unless you are for some reason dead set on adding headers right away to your car then sure..get a 2011, but no way would I let that make the decision for me. The 2012 has some fresh new features so if you want a 2012..get one!

Don't worry about the engine, it will be fine. Not everything about it is completely new, although it is definitely more than just the same engine with integrated exhaust ports.
