That's so annoying.... same with electronic throttles.... I can floor my mom's honda and take my foot completely off the pedal before the engine ever leaves idle!
Do like what my grandpa did in his work truck once.... ran out of gas 20 feet from the pump, left it in gear and hit the starter a few times to inch it forward
