A better comparison would be V8 Camaro vs non-track pack Mustang GT - these are the suspensions that most people will get.
Without the track pack, I think the Mustang will be more closer to a V6 Camaro competitor rather than a SS competitor.

I gotcha man, and there will be plenty of aftermarket suspension pieces for the SS that will do great things....which is honestly all the Mustang GT track pack is...an aftermarket suspension package offered by ford racing that was turned into a factory option.
My point was a broader one; however, about how solid axles can still perform relatively well.
