How does Aston Martin, Jaguar, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati get away with the sleeker car mirrors? Is this just some sort of bias toward the North American vehicle?
I really can't imagine how a ridiculously tall mirror is supposed to be safer than the current American mirrors. Surely you want a wider mirror before a taller mirror. You don't need to see how TALL a vehicle is that is behind you, you just want to see that there is something there.

Google 2007 and 2011 Aston Martin and you'll see they now have BIG mirrors. Do the same with BMW or pretty much anything else now and it's the same over here.
In person, the mirrors aren't that bad. We, Europeans, get the new interior too - so it's not all bad I guess (mixed views on the steering wheel) but what can you do?
At least the Camaro is finally coming here.
