I don't really care about HID headlights or leather seats. No point in me paying more for stuff I don't want. In fact, I wouldn't mind if the 1SS had even fewer standard comfort options to drop the price down below the $30 000 mark.

A better comparison would be V8 Camaro vs non-track pack Mustang GT - these are the suspensions that most people will get.
Without the track pack, I think the Mustang will be more closer to a V6 Camaro competitor rather than a SS competitor.

Maybe, for those that equate equal power to equal performance -and there are enough people out there who
do think that so it is a possibility. Anyone interested in performance will see that the Mustang GT, even without the trackpack would have roughly a 1 second advantage over the Camaro to 60 and in the 1/4 mile. Based on what we've seen though, the V6's should out handle the regular GT's (ie no track pack).
But the Mustang GT (trackpack, premium, regular) and Challenger R/T are the prime targets for the SS.

Essentially, yes. Though a suspension upgraded and different gearing could alwasy be added to the SS.
