That would apply to a car with a taller rear end or taller first gear. First gear in the camaro is quite short. As stated, second from a dead stop is too hard on the clutch.
Those of you who haven't got the skip shift eliminator, DO IT NOW. No excuse not to. 5 minute install if you don't know what you're doing.
