On a sidenote....I didn't bother reading the superlong quoted post above as to why ram air doesn't work....but my 3rd gen picked up a solid 1.5 mph in the quarter mile when I made the ram air hood functional. So if its not supposed to work....I dunno why it did. Why were the Ss and ram air trans ams faster too? Weird.

There may not be a compression effect from air getting rammed through the scoop, but they do make for a pretty good cold air intake with very little restriction.
