You'd have to line up a straight visual feature parallel to the direction of the curve to notice the waviness on non-flat areas. It is slight, but you can see it easily if you have clear vision.
I was also looking at Black Camaros, so the reflection was all I was really seeing. That probably makes it stand out more.
