IMO... I would say a sports car is mostly quantified by its seating capacity and its aero dynamics (built for track requirements). Most are 2 seaters and very aero-dynamic, and if they do have a back seat it fits no human properly. Muscle Cars/Pony Cars always have a back seat, and aero-dynamics are much less important than the overall style of the car.
IMO a muscle car is two things tiny car HUGE MOTOR think its big STUFF A BIGGER ONE IN THERE . And this whole 4 seat two seat coup agurement can go on for a LONG while . Along with the 4 door vs 2 door muscle car . AND the pony car vs muscle car witch is witch . It seems everone has there own option on it BUT what is fact is the corvette and the ford GT 40 both went over seas and were the first and only amercain cars to beat ferrari and the like. There raceing history is what makes them the ONLY sports cars. The viper STOCK did not win nothing. Though heavily moded for raceing did
