I was up at hamton beach in the peak of tourist season and i seen more then 70 mustangs 2 max 4th/3ed gen camaros and 3 to 5 (more like 3) gen 5 camaros so. With that logic and unless camaros going to meet somewhere they are an underdog

This isn't the first time the Camaro has been this popular. Every year of the first gen sold over 200,000 units.

I even took the liberty of bolding every year of Camaro that sold more than the 2010. In fact, 1979 was the best selling year for the Camaro. Not even counting the 'birds, and they were very popular also. The Camaro has always been a popular car.
The 2010 even had an 8 year hiatus, and 4 years after the concept, to build up hype. Sales for 2011 have dropped, and I imagine 2012 will be even worse.

I guess not. The 1967 MY sold over double what the 2010 did.
