It isn't because of any drawbacks, there is just mostly no gains over 1 3/4" until you're pushing 700+ hp. Until then, they dyno the same up to about 5k rpms before any gains start to show and then it's small. Most people will never hit 5k rpm so there really is no benefit unless you're building for racing.
