Any time you swap the wheel locations, you will need to do the TPMS relearn procedure to make sure they are reading the proper location. Check your owner's manual for that procedure.

I don't see the benefit of swapping tires side to side. Not unless you are a NASCAR driver and only take left turns. The front (and rear) tires should be wearing nearly identical if your alignment and air pressures are correct.
