the physicalities of it are simple. swap motor/trans. but the regs and paperwork and OTHER stuff that we dont hear about is what holds everything up.
pay extra for a motor that is going to be going away soon.

the market is part of the reason the regs are in place. part of the whole financial situation is based off auto companies making the cars we want.
a few years ago, EVERYONE had to have a big truck/SUV. the auto companies were more than happy to make them cus they were selling like hotcakes. then gas prices shot up and everyone wanted more MPG, and the big trucks/suvs sat on the lots and still do today.
but besides just physically making a car, there's so much more that has to be taken into account. and keep in mind, a Z28 might just be "the next level" to you/some/whoever, but to others the Z28 is an iconic representation of the overall best Camaro ever made produced from GM. its been said before by GM reps that they dont want to make a Z28 that doesnt live up to its hallowed name.
