the market is part of the reason the regs are in place. part of the whole financial situation is based off auto companies making the cars we want.
a few years ago, EVERYONE had to have a big truck/SUV. the auto companies were more than happy to make them cus they were selling like hotcakes. then gas prices shot up and everyone wanted more MPG, and the big trucks/suvs sat on the lots and still do today. |
THat has absolutely nothing to do with why we have safety and emissions regulations.
