snofyter, I think trm0002 answered most of your questions. I think what you have to realize is that during the early run of cars there is a TON of verification and quality inspections that go on. Behind the scenes, you also have input coming back from CTF drivers that may be resulting in tweaks to production. This car is under a giant microscope, both inside GM and outside. They will not let this car start shipping until they are confident that everyone is going to be happy with the quality.
I also think that many people had/have unreal expectations of how quickly they would get their car. Add on top of that the way that allocations and cars are distributed and the fact that many dealers aren't helping by telling everyone they are #1 and they will have their car in April.
I have said it a bunch of times now. We all need to take a deep breath and be patient. GM wants us to have our cars as bad and as fast as we want them. And I do believe that we are going to get them a lot faster than everyone expected. Just hang in there!
