I've always wondered what new 'vette owners do when at car shows. If you're sitting near the car all day it's "on" and draining the battery. Also the 'vettes have no key hole in the door(s), if the battery goes dead you have to unlock the hatch by the keyhole just above the license plate and then reach way in and pull a release to get the door open.
Remember once at a Camaro club meet, a member and his wife show up in a new vette. After the meeting when shooting the bull he walks away from the car and sets something down (his keys), walks back to the car looks inside. Walks back over picks them up and goes way across the shop and sets them down, goes back to the car looks inside with this confused look on his face. His wife asked him what was wrong. He said "the car is still on, it won't shut off????" She then says "Well my purse is inside with my keys in it, is that why?" He literally does the palm to the forehead thing.
So we have some 'vette owners here, what do you do if you take it to a car show? Can you disable this feature? Do you have to worry about your battery draining?
If I did have a new Camaro, sure would be a shame to not use that cool switchblade key.
