Either way, once you mount the new tires/rims to your car, you'll have to take your car to the dealer so they can calibrate the TPMS's to the positions on your car so your DIC will know which wheel is on what corner of the car.
This has to be done at the dealer because it requires a special hand held gadget.
My dealer does it for free any time I change my rims.

Bought replacement wheel sensors from the dealer (below retail) and had a chassis shop swap wheels and tires without having to go back to the dealer... (my 2010 was made in Dec. 2009)
