Valid point, but that wasn't it. I know what this thing will do when it downshifts on the freeway and the engine roars. It was like it should've dropped down a few gears, but only dropped down one. This happens sometimes too when I slow down to turn a corner. I turn, and then give it gas and it goes, but not very aggressively. Yeah, I hear ya. I almost always drive in S mode. I think in this case, I should've just downshifted myself using the tapshift. S mode is definitely better than D, but even in S, it seems that it likes to upshift quickly (unless I'm really heavy on the throttle).

Is getting stuck in too high a gear when I really wanna be in a lower one what "bogging" means?

When ever you really want to get on it ...tap the gas pedal twice or three times ...thats how many gears it will downshift..TRY IT!
