For a little backstory-- I was with this guy for five years. He liked to cheat on me on the internet (I'll give you more lurid details if you want them; I'm not talking porn here) and he hated my friends and family, talked crap to them/about them all the time, and just totally killed my self-esteem, so I got out of it and I'm a happy girl for the most part.

But tell me why, guys, it's necessary to contact your ex to tell them you're going to a concert with another girl but there is nothing to it and it's just friends? WTF? Why put me through all that hell, and then when I dump you, keep trying to sniff around saying you'll change (when you've said it 50 times before and you NEVER do)? Of course it's my fault partially for humoring him and not changing my cell number but really... Why does he BOTHER? Is it the challenge factor or am I just missing something?
