I have developed the habit, and that is really what it is, to use them all the time. As I think of changing lanes or turning I exert about 1 ounce of effort and press that signal lever under your left hand. Usually is it just my pinky. It doesn't take much.
Are you stupid if you don't use them? Darn .. it lets other drivers know your intentions. What's that? You don't know HOW to use them?
Are you lazy? About an ounce of effort. Just do it! C'mon folks.
Are you inconsiderate? I can't count how many times I am waiting at an intersection and the driver to my left just turns. Meanwhile I am still there waiting. Crystal balls are not standard equipment in Camaros.
I've heard - "I didn't see anyone". Darn! Unless you have magic senses THAT is when you need them most - when YOU didn't see the other guy. I've been out cycling and folks turn right in front of me as I'm going 30MPH, no signal. Lane changes where the person just seems to be lost.
Here is a high note. I'm driving my RS on a 4 lane road and I come up to a traffic signal while in the right lane. It changes to red just as I get up to it. I glance in my rear-view and closely behind me is an Audi with the right turn signal on. I check the left mirror and and no one is in the left lane. Quickly I change over to the left lane (signaling first of course
