It says fully backed warranty but nothing about who or what is backing it beyond GM, which makes it rather meaningless. I've seen some stuff in the news about the government possibly backing warranties to keep people from being scared off by bankruptcy talk etc, but the anouncement in question doesn't talk about that, nor does
www.gmconfidence.com unless it's hidden away somewhere.
