hands off my wife and my car

back to your question
no brushes touching your car sounds good
but:
to remove the dirt from your car just by spraying it, you need extremely high pressure
many parts are not designed for that pressure and can get damaged (tires for instance can easily be damaged by jet-washing, resulting in a tire-blow-out in the future when you have forget about the carwash...

if you want it done right, do it yourself (as long as you know what you are doing...
in terms of car washing the same story...)
