Changing the LED in your RS headlights.

This DIY is for people that want to change out there white LED's in there RS headlight, Its for the halo light GM has only 1-1watt LED in there, This is for more powerful LED's and RGB LED's.

There are lots of threads on how to remove the front bumper so i want repeat them, Next you need to remove the headlights and all wires from it, next remove the plastic 90% wind seal that is bolted to the bottom of the headlight.

Next is you need to open the headlight, thanks to AAC we know how to do that, There is a video on how to do it i say look at it 2-4 times till you get it, the key is if the light cools done put it back in the oven.

Now that the head light is open there are 4 screws that hold the halo in place remove them and the halo and heat sink comes out, it will look like this, you can see there is one led in there.

Remove the 2 screws holding the heat sink to the halo.

Next install new LED, To do that you may need to drill in to the top of the halo, For the deeper RGB you can use a 3/8 drill and all you do is put a crown in it so the new LED sits in it all the way flush, Then get some clear nail polish and brush it on where you drilled.

More to come.
