I used regular Rusto flat black on mine...

If I would do it over again I would do the flat black first on everything. THEN tape up the bowties and cut centers out, then sand a little, then do the color matched paint x4 coats and done an extra 4 coats of clear coat. I did only 4 coats of clear, and I did it too lite. I didn't think it would be that noticable but the rest of the car looks glossy compared to the bow tie... be sure to post some pics to show us how you did. Good luck! It's fun!
