Help getting out a paint blemish?

So the wife calls me this morning saying that she heard a rock (or something) jump up in the fender passenger fender well at highway speed, then another one bounced off the windshield.

When she got to work, she took at look for any damage and found a small tiny blemish a few inches below the 45th emblem. No paint chip, but the blem looks like a crater...basically you can a low spot in the center and the paint raised in a circle around the the center point. Its not very big...maybe a 1/16th in diameter. Its small, but at the right angle it jumps right out saying "LOOK AT ME!" I carefully felt and pushed around it to make sure the paint actually handnt lifted off the body on the high points.... seems to be solid.

I know for certain this wasnt there yesterday as I had just did a full wax job on the entire car and I am meticulous when it comes to finding the smallest of imperfections. There was actually a blem on the car from the factory where you could see the line worker took out a piece of dirt in the clear and didnt fully polish the area out. I was able to get it out with Adam's products thankfully.

So back to the blem on the fender. I think I can wetsand this out by hand, but being a brand new car and metallic paint, what would the best method be to do this the right way?

Should I go in with 1000, 1500, 2000, then go over it with Adams products?

Ive done wetsanding to get scratches out on single stage paint, but never anything metallic.

It's night time so doing a pic right now is worthless....i'll try to snap one tomorrow.

Appreciate any help!
