Just a side note, I also did not have to trim the nub on my pump either. That was the hardest part we couldnt figure out what the heck we were supposed to cut off cuz it popped right in there!

As long as it seats properly in the grommet on the tank and then pops into place when you press it into the indented area on the tank it is all good.
