Hello. I have a 1972 Z-28 that a friend of mine bought new in March of 1972. My understanding is that it was one of the last ones produced before the UAW strike at Norwood Ohio that year. I have the original bill of sale and protect0-plate for it. The bill of sale says special order paint (steel cites gray) on it and the firewall tag just has dashes on it where the paint code would be. It is currently painted black but I have original pictures of it being the gray. It is a non rally sport split bumper. A local dealer said it had to be one of only a very very few made that year with special order paint. I am trying to find out if possible exactly how many could have been made that year like it but so far no luck. Can anyone out there help me?
