Here are some thoughts and observations about the 2010:
I was able to get in and out of both cars easily. Though at first I had to adjust the seat lower. The seats on the v8 were totally power. the v6 up and back were not.
I was afraid the interior was going to be cheap/plastic. Well a very nice suprise was it looked and felt very nice. The seats were unbelievable. Cloth buckets were in them. I'm 5-11" 220 lbs and it fit me with room to spare. Back seat room was enough once I moved the seats up for an 12 & 9 yr old to fit. I'm not saying they would enjoy a 500 mile trip though. Both of these vehicles were automatic's but there is plenty of room for clutch movement. View from looking out the front windshield was fine even with the scope, The back seat drops like advertized with pretty good room in the trunk area. I'd say 2 large suit cases and 2 small ones. (small ones for the guys, who needs a daily change of under wear anyway). Radio and climate controls are easy to reach and you can control the volume with your finger tips with up and down controls on the steering wheel. Cruise control looks like it might be a slight hassle. The steering wheel is small and the controls for cruise are angled in. Otherwise it's nice. Room like I said in the back looks decent enough, but if your someone with long legs and absolutely have to have the seat well back then there will be trouble fitting someone in back. I saw several people 200+ trying to get into the back seat and it wasn't easy. For kids or teens it's a brezze, adults...no.
I love the tight lines the maro has. The engine is crowded as usual. Will be hard to work on. Installing headers will be fun....I'm being sarcastic. I looked underneath but couldn't really get a good look at it. Head liner had a slight bump in it down the center. Gave it a different look beside having a smooth ceiling. Trunk and front hood held open by pistons. Nice smooth opening and closing. The doors look like the are held shut in 2 areas. To make for a positive full sound when it closed. No rattling when door was shut. Even though it's probably been shut 100,000 times. back redefrosters are hard to see at first but once you notice them well you know they are there. Power mirrors are nice work in all directions nicely. I'm glad the SS emblem comes on the 1ss also. Wasn't sure if it would. Doors have your standard controls, door handle, locks and window control. All in all I was definately more excited about the car than before the show. The red 6cy was almost exactly alike other than the known smaller engine. Also the flood lights aren't there so they have black plastic in place of the lights (this would be one of my first upgrades. Not fond of the plastic look). The rims were different along with the tire size. Looks like they were only 18" as opposed to the v8's 20". The rims on the v8 were very nice and I can't wait to see them polished like I ordered. I'm very glad they had it out in the open for people to try out. The pictures with them being up and behind barriers makes for good quality picture taking but never allows the person to feel the seats. Also niether was able to start up. I guess I'll have to expect to wait on somethings. I recommend if it's in your area to go take a look at it. Long winded but I could talk about this car all day. god knows I spent a few hrs yesterday looking at it.
Hope this helps a little.
