I think you'd be amazed at the validation exercises we put our cars and trucks thru --
In layman terms: We try to drown them by blowing water and ice and snow at them in massive quantities - for hours on end. While I have not seen any of the recent tests, I recall one with the 4th Gen SS where we blew snow into the front of the car at high speeds for hours - to the point where there was massive ice buildup - all to ensure that the mighty LS1 V8 would not ingest water or ice under severe conditions. THat's also why I cringe when I look under the hood at many Camaros and Firebirds - and see 'modifications' to the air intake.........
One of the things that I have always respected about SLP is that they would validate to our standards......
