Im not sure why that is needed. The backup camera comes on when in reverse and is able to be summoned when needed.
The thing is driving me crazy now is the stupid parking brake.
The brake light was constantly on after T-tapping the metra green wire to the Pioneer wire and then tapping the pioneer wire to the light blue wire. After that failed, I swapped the taps with disconnects using a blue with 2 wires and a red with the single wire. After a little plunger jiggling, now the parking brake light works, but I get a parking brake error message when the Pioneer turns on. Has anybody encountered this? One more ok button to press isnt a huge inconvenience, but it sure is annoying.
