Unfortunately It is cost prohibitive to re-paint properly. Its tacky and I could`easily tell its been done, therefore de-valuing the car by the amount spent plus the amount to return it to original color.
To repaint properly, the car would need to be reduced to a shell, chemically stripped, re-finished and reassembled with new fasteners, hardware and sealers.
While not impossible, Its `just not worth it.
The actual cost of materials and labor to paint is insignificant, Its just all the other labour involved.

you'd be surprised at the great job that Berger Chevy and Tom Henry Chevy have been able to do with repaints......
