Update: The Service Department has determined it is a bad sensor in the trunk so they ordered a new one which should be here in 4 or 5 days. The shop guy handling the fix said he called the technicians at Chevrolet and was told this is the first one of these problems they have encountered so I guess mine is just an isolated incident.
