Nope - our manuals have changed. You can look at the 2011 manual on the chevrolet site under the "owners" tab. That part has been changed, and others here have tried the old method - on earlier 2011 cars it worked but not later models. The new re-sync or re-learn process says you must have the tool, but it also says you can get it from the dealer (which I can't).
