I agree OP. Parked my '06 GTO in the garage for 3 winters with nothing but battery tender, Stabil in full tank (not convinced this is necessary, all my lawn tools start in the spring without it), aired up tires to 40, and threw a $20 Wally World cover over it. Never had a spec of rust underneath, fired right up in the spring, and tires quit thumping after about a mile. Doing the same to the Camaro this weekend for the 3rd winter. Do what you want to for piece of mind, but you really don't need to over think it. Also, for those of you who ask, "Why park it..it was meant to be driven"...Because I don't have to.
