Here you go, this is the range for WOT:
Note how it drops to 20* at peak torque. This is where you are most likely to get Knock Reduction. Also keep in mind that during a run, it's operating in the 3800-6200 range because of the shifts at WOT.
When I used one can of Torco to 5 gallons on a cool night (low 60's), I added one degree of timing safely. I was going to add two but the track went to pot.
