Yea, mine from AAC are tinted, but doesn't really dim down that light effect. I could light up a dark alley with my LED halos and side markers alone. If someone really wanted to dim it down, one, why would you want that? Two, you'd need a very dark tint.
Very nice DIY by the way. They look just as good as the ones you'd buy somewhere else and I don't think anyone really has to be too electrically/mechanically talented to accomplish this.
