Im a 35F Intelligence Analyst. What your asking is a pretty broad question because it depends on a variety of things. Where your stationed, what kind of unit your with, how many people you have in your section. Duties can range from light work to very heavy work if you are short on people.
Basically what you are tought in intel school consists of the following:
Map Reading
Military Symbology
Terrain Analysis
Threat Analysis
Intelligence Preperation of the Battlefield
Targeting Packages
The list goes on but those are the key points. I think the most interesting part is the targeting packages. Basically, you collect all avaliable intel on a high value tearget (could be an IED manufacturer, all the way up to an Al Qaeda Cell leader) and condensing it down into a report that will tell your infantry troops where he is, how he is protected, his history, his family, and even a prediction of how he will react when a team is sent in for him. You also play a role in deciding whether each target should be captured for interrogation or killed on sight.
There are also parts of the job that are highly classified so i cant go in to any of that. Also, Intel MOSs usually get a Top Secret security clearance which is like gold on the civilian side. Its good for about 150k starting sallary at many Private Contracting firms. Food for thought.
