pretty much what he said, Cybergray. Tuning is very important. For example, fuel supply seems to be my issue at the moment. I've rotated the rail, installed a shorter fuel crossover line, Racetronix hotwire, a BAP, and still my fuel pressure will drop to 50'ish psi at WOT.

...and you figure this all out by using HP Tuners or EFI Live to datalog. Moral of the story is as Mike said above, tuning is very important. While you friend could probably do rod bolts and a standalone fuel system as an interim. If he wants to spray more power than described above to the wheels then he should probably be talking to Texas Speed, HKE, Vengeance, Lingenfelter, ERL, Livernois, etc, etc, about a new short block or at least installing a new rotating assembly.
