With all due respect I disagree,GM is the largest volume automaker (Toyota uncludes Diahatsu and Hino)and has sold more vehicles than anyone in history.Reduce the price of steel, labor and parts ,then the price will go down.Example,I had a lady come in and trade a 1994 Lumina Euro, the original window sticker was in the car.Her comment was "the prices of cars are high".She left buying a 2007 Impala within $1000 of what the Lumina was 13 years before.I'll be glad when GM files bancruptcy ,just to not hear "GM is in a bind, you need to sell something".Car prices are reasonable IMO ,could they be CHEAPER,yes, with cheaper being the point.New technology such as hybrids's and alternative energy sources will increase prices in the future.
