If the Zl1 comes out as 175 top end and this is 200, that is laughable.

It's possible since Ford doesn't have a direct competitor to the vette, but this 2013 GT500 simply will not hang with a ZR1. It just won't.
The GT500 has been compared with base Vettes and occasionally the Z06 off and on since the S197 GT500 arrived in 2007. Needless to say, the GT500 never came close to matching even a base Vette in any of those reviews.
With the latest GT500, it
might be able to finally best a base C6 stock vs. stock on a road course, but they will end up costing about the same so I guess it is a wash.

Those are all older GT500 of course but you get the point.
