And here are my thoughts

As an Irish-European (as opposed to an Irish-American) drag racing always meant little to me. It was something Americans with poor handling powerful cars did.

In Ireland we love Rally Driving and Road Track Racing. Thus I always drove Mazdas and Subarus, as I wanted excellent cornering, that was until........................................I saw and read about the 5th Gen Camaro. Here was an American muscle car pulling in suspension design teams from Australia and being designed to corner well. I was hooked. I was going to get one. Sure I could have gotten an equally handling used BMW, Merc, Audi or Porsche for similar money, and I did test drive some, but besides not wanting to appear pretentious (a nice way of saying "like a douche-bag") I also realized I couldn't convenientally or reasonably get them serviced. Thus in late 2009 I put my name on the list for a 2SS.

I LOVE IT!

I have showed it at car shows and taken it to track days and driven it around corners until the brake fluid boiled.
I have even driven it on a drag-strip ( Shhh don't tell my friends in Ireland)

Now I see the ZL1 coming and what is it being designed for .........the track.
Oh yeah! Sign me up.

GT500? Never even considered it. Never have gotten the feeling that it was being designed for the track always seemed designed for the strip. What about the Boss. Sure I Looked at it but only the Monterey looked like it would outperform the Camaro and it was far from a daily driver.

I will be happily driving a 580+HP ZL1 around corners long before a 2013 GT500 spins it wheels at a drag-strip
