I am sorry but people really need to under stand what Chapter 11 means, it’s responses like the one your lawyer and girlfriend made that will ultimately in the end hurt GM and the US economy. If GM files for CH 11 Bankruptcy protection they are protected from all creditors what will happen is GM and the Government will go to the creditors and reduce the debt, the cost of lease payments, work with unions, ect... During this time GM will operate like they have the only difference we will is that GM and the Government will work out a plan to have GM exit CH 11 quickly. During this time the unions contracts will be voided the union will NOT be able to go on strike, the government has already said they will be giving parts manufactures money as part of a bailout so they can continue to operate, and BUILD CARS & TRUCKS. The Camaro, Silverado, Corvette, Malibu, Caddy’s , ect… will continue to roll off the line. In the end you will get your Camaro everything will be fine.

United Airlines operated under Chapter 11 for two years, Delta, Northwest, and US Airways operated under Chapter 11 for one year and during these times they flew hundreds of millions of passengers. Because of Chapter 11 filing they did not stop flying they continued to run the day to day operations and in the background they worked to reduce debt.

GM will do the same they will continue to build cars in Chapter 11, the Government has already said ALL buyers are protected if a worst case happens (and it will not we have far too much to lose if GM went Chapter 7)

I mean you no disrespect but your Lawyer and fiance are as stupid the guy pulling into the Ford dealership to buy a Ford Mustang because he thinks the Mustang is a bad A$$ car. What do they want you to buy?? I can tell you if your fiancé has other plans for your car dreams you might want to think hard about being with her. As for your lawyer I hope he is not one of those Ambulance chasers you see on TV I hope you are not paying him much because he already gave you PISS POOR information about GM.

So what have we learned today?

-GM is a viable company
-GM will operate as normal if they have to go into Chapter 11
-The Camaro will be produced
-Your Camaro will be produced
-You will have a full warranty
-Your Lawyer is a jackass
-Your Fiance is well “Clueless”

Now that will be $350 in fees today.
