Good article, and very informative info about drive shafts..(thank you).. but I`m not talking about a ` driveshaft``per say..I am talking about a ridgid shaft within a housing. There are no u-joints or lateral movement, so the shaft rides in bearings, so there would be no vibration if enough bearings are used for the length. Also clearance in the tunnel would be greatly increased because the shaft would be like 1.25`as opposed to a 3`inch driveshaft. Less spinning weight etc. like a corvette..
