If the only thing people had to worry about was a little mud or water on the side of the car, none of us would (will, I have them sitting on my desk, just need a car) have them.

I took a look at a 2011 Camaro where I work at the inside of of the front wheels and the paint looks like it was sandblasted. There are pictures in some of the other forums of others having the same problems. It looks like

I have even though of going so far as putting some clear bra on the side facing the wheels in the front to even protect them from the rock chips.
