The gap is even less than that, as far as HP. However, the GT has far more torque than the V6 Camaro and is lighter, so it still wins.
I do plan on test driving a V6 as soon as one is available at my dealer. I really do hope it is enough to fill the Olds' shoes. Power aside, I know I'll miss the front fascia (except for the fake scoop), brembo brakes, and competition mode on the stability control from the SS.
By the way, thanks for the compliments on the Olds. Sure it was a 4 door and it had a lowly 350/column shifted 3 speed auto combo, and bad paint, but it really was dear to my heart. It had character.
