Ok so lets get down to the nitty gritty shell we .. I can confirm the Mole works in the plant , as do i . I have 26 yrs service and have been involved with the Camaro project for approx 2rs. I work in the body shop and do Metal repair and trouble shooting for the different depts that requrie me to fix or repair any metal related issues. I drive GM products and do my best to sell our products to anyone who will listen. I believe most if not all who visit this site are well informed on the Camaro as of this date. However for those who are not , lets cut to the chase.
The Camaro is being built in Oshawa , Ont
The Camaro is now going into its 6th week of production
The Camaro comes in a varity of colours and trim lines
The Camaro also offers a V6 and V8 engine
The Camaro offers an auto and std transmission
The Camaro is being shipped to different dealers around N.America
The Camaro plant is a one shift operation (days only)
The Camaro is built to exect spec's and quality requirements.
Next do we as employees see everyones Cars as they come down the line ? Answer - Yes we do as we work on each one as it goes by our stations. Can we tell if its your Camaro ! Answer -No Your car only has numbers attached to it and your name is not assigned to any paper work on the car.
At the end of the line your car is driven off the line and sent to a shipping area for either truck or rail transport. All of us here are ambassadors for GM and for those of us here in Oshawa the Camaro and Impala are very important products and we give 120% to make sure you get the very best products for your hard earned money.
There is not much else i can say other then we do exist here in the plant and we can only give out certain information , i just want everyone to understand that and enjoy the wee bit of info that can be released. Its not rocket science to figure out that company info is not to be given out to the general public.
So in closing.. WE CANNOT RELEASE PRODUCT INFO ! And all of your Camaros look fantastic , the MOLE is a real person, i'm a real person , some Camaro5 members have met me . i only wish i could have one in my driveway.
