Sometimes I think it's easy for us to get a little lost and focus too much on the details and forget about the big picture (a trees and forest thing). I do feel bad for you, Scarzz, not being able to get a ZL1 in IBM, but, given the choice, I think you'd rather have a 2012 ZL1 in black, than a 1971 Pinto in the color of your dreams. We all do need to remember that the ZL1 is going to be a very impressive vehicle, regardless of its color.

I'm not sure what the absolute perfect color for the ZL1 would be for me if I were to draw it up from scratch on the white board, but I know I'll be more than satisfied with my CRT convertible. And, I am really grateful that Chevrolet is going to produce a ZL1 convertible, as the last time that Chevy produced a factory four seat convertible with an ultra high performance engine was in the 1970 Chevelle with the LS6.

And, to help put things in perspective with regard to the performance of the new ZL1, if someone told me in 1976 (when I truly thought the days of high performance vehicles were gone forever; remember those dark days of 165 hp 350s?) that that in 36 years Chevrolet was going to produce a Camaro from the factory that would have 580 hp and run the Nurburgring in 7:41, I would have thought that one had indulged in far too much Acapulco Gold.
