From a roll you will be fine I assume, just make sure you know what RPM/MPH to start at. Be dominate with the race initiation, he will want to start in his sweet spot and you in yours. Dont start until he just goes with your pace.
Let him know the race starts ON the 3rd honk, etc.
Have fun.

The "stage" terminology is because of how prevalent Cobb is in the Subaru community. Their stage 1 tune is for intake/catback at most, no aftermarket downpipe. Stage 2 is for aftermarket downpipe+. It has become the slang way to refer to tuned/downpipe/bolt ons cars. If someone says they are stage 1 it's going to be a tune with bolt ons that don't do much. Stage 2 will always have a downpipe which typically means raised boost too. I try to stay away from using the stage titles because they can vary so much, but it's become so ingrained in the subaru community it's impossible to stop. I hate how the terms are thrown around, but that's how it is. Typical stage 1 car = ~250awhp. Typical stage 2 = ~275-300awhp depending on tune. Most would call my car or anything on the stock turbo above typical stage 2, "stage 2 +." Stupid I know, but what can ya do? I do like to use it sometimes though, especially at the track. The ls1 owners around here have caught onto the lingo because there are so many subies and evos up here, and when I tell them my car is stage 2 they think their bolt on ls1 is going to walk me
